Fender's original prototypes were fashioned from pine, and now, for 2017 they have released this awesome Limited Edition Pine Jazzmaster.

This American Vintage '59 Pine Jazzmaster features a body crafted from 130-year-old pine responsibly reclaimed from the Globe Grain Elevator facility in Superior, Wisconsin, complete with original grain, knotholes and man-made imperfections. Pine is a lightweight wood which provides a ringing sustain and a warm, round tone. Fender have "cooked" the pine, which means it has undergone a thermal treatment that removes moisture, sweetens the tone and darkens the natural colour of the wood.

The neck is made from figured maple, with a modern "deep C" shape profile, a 25.5" scale length, and a hand-rubbed oil finish. The neck features 22 narrow tall frets. The new narrow tall fret design makes for an effortless fretting-hand experience, with easier string bending. The Jazzmaster is equipped with V-Mod Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups, featuring Fender's treble-bleed circuit, which maintains the high end when turning down the volume knob to reduce gain, letting your tone shine through, no matter where the instrument’s volume is set.

The guitar also features aged white "witch hat" control knobs and aged white switch tips, 1-Ply Black Anodized Aluminum scratchplate, Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered tuners, Nickel/Chrome hardware, and a very cool Limited Edition Neck Plate, and Laser Engraved Logo on Headstock.
