The Taylor 416ce boasts Taylor's Grand Symphony body shape. The next size up from their most popular body shape, the GS size produces incredible sonic power and depth, especially in the lower mids, adding girth and sustain to the overall voice. The 416ce is made from African Ovangkol back and sides paired with a solid Sitka Spruce top. Ovangkol is a relative of Indian Rosewood, making for a versatile and great sounding tonewood. Paired with the broad dynamic range of Sitka, this guitar yields a meaty midrange and strong treble notes, and its responsiveness to a light touch gives players a great range to explore. The guitar features a mahogany neck with a comfortable 25.5" scale length, and a responsibly sourced ebony fingerboard. The 416ce is fitted with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, their breakthrough behind-the-saddle transducer pickup which amplifies the natural tones of each unique guitar, not just the sound of a pickup. Clean, modern appointments finish off this beautiful guitar, including crisp white binding, Italian acrylic dot fretboard inlays, and a three-ring rosette
