Introducing Taylor's brand new innovation - the ground-breaking V-Class Bracing System. Andy Powers has re-imagined the Taylor Guitar, designing a new "sonic engine" which transforms the way the top vibrates to dramatically improve the sound. This new innovation marks a bold departure from X-bracing, producing notes that are louder, longer sustaining, and more in tune with each other. The 614ce features Taylor's most popular and versatile body shape, the Grand Auditorium. This body shape is ideally suited for fingerpickers, flatpickers, and strummers alike. The tonewood combination on this guitar features a torrefied Sitka spruce top and flamed maple back and sides. Torrefaction is a roasting process on the spruce which gives it an aged appearance and "played in" tone. The usually pale maple has been treated with a hand-rubbed "brown sugar" stain finish, giving it a darker shade and therefore in keeping with a more traditional acoustic guitar aesthetic which most acoustic guitarists prefer, and highlighting the rich figure of the stunning flame maple. The body also features a streaky Macassar ebony pickguard and a soft Venetian cutaway for easier access to the higher frets. This 600 Series guitar of course features Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, which amplify the true tone of the guitar, not the sound of a pickup. Other aesthetic features include Ebony/Ivoroid/Paua/Ivoroid rosette, Grained Ivoroid Wings fret inlays, new black graphite nut, and new inner sticker featuring the signature of master guitar designer Andy Powers. This Taylor 600 Series 614ce is absolutely incredible - extremely comfortable to play, producing exquisite tones, and boasting stunning aesthetics.
