Introducing Taylor's brand new innovation - the ground-breaking V-Class Bracing System. Andy Powers has re-imagined the Taylor Guitar, designing a new "sonic engine" which transforms the way the top vibrates to dramatically improve the sound. This new innovation marks a bold departure from X-bracing, producing notes that are louder, longer sustaining, and more in tune with each other. The 714ce boasts Taylor's most popular Grand Auditorium body shape, a great all-rounder for many styles. The body is made from a compelling alternate take on the classic spruce and rosewood pairing, as the top is Lutz spruce rather than Sitka. Lutz is a natural hybrid of Sitka and White which also shares characteristics with Adirondack, responding with wonderful power, richness, and volume. The 25.5" scale neck is made from tropical mahogany with a satin finish, and an ebony fingerboard punctuated with "abalone reflections" inlays. This 700 series is fully equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, a behind-the-saddle pickup which naturally and accurately amplifies the true tone of the guitar, not just the sound of a pickup. Also featuring ebony bridge pins and truss rod cover, Koa binding, Douglas Fir Herringbone rosette, weathered brown pickguard, Taylor nickel tuners, a new black graphite nut, and a new guitar label that bears the signature of master guitar designer Andy Powers.
