Crimson Artist Series RAW Descendant Electric Guitar Lake Ash

Crimson guitars are lovingly hand crafted by experienced luthiers in Dorset, England. This particular guitar is very unique and has some interesting features. First of all, the body has been under water for years! The ash used for the top was retrieved from a lake, hence the beautiful streaky patterns, and the body is made from spalted ash. The wood is pretty lightweight, but provides a gorgeous, rich tone. The neck is made from wenge, with a 25.5" scale length (typical of a Stratocaster) and a naturally streaky ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. This guitar is from the second delivery of Crimson's we've had, so it has upgraded circular fingerboard inlays. Both the body and neck are finished in violin varnish, which Crimson use on quite a few of their guitars. The reason being that this finish becomes slick to each individual's style, just like a violin. The guitar becomes more comfortable the more you play it! This Raw Lake Ash model is equipped with Crimson's own specially designed electronics. The guitar features two humbuckers with a three way selector switch, one tone control, and one volume control with a push/pull coil tap to change the pickups to single-coil. The guitar comes with a hard case included.
