Featuring thoughtful vintage appointments paired with the craftsmanship of a high performance instrument, the Paramount series from Fender aim to blend the two seamlessly to help your "artistic vision come to life." This PM-1 Deluxe Dreadnought features all-solid construction, and a Fender and Fishman-designed PM preamp system. The guitar's body is made from solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, with a solid Sitka spruce top, and finished in a high gloss lacquer. The body also features a checkerboard rosette, and quarter-sawn scalloped X bracing. The neck is made from mahogany, with a "C" shape profile, and a smooth ebony fingerboard, with Abalone and mother-of-pearl "concert tone" fret inlays. Finishing off with an ebony bridge, tortoiseshell pickguard, and hard case, this PM-1 is excellent quality and value for money.
Another feature of the Paramount series is the "Humitron" guitar humidifier provided with it. This handy, innovative device is supplied with your guitar to keep it a constant temperature during changing weather conditions. Changes in temperature can have an affect on the guitar's wood, meaning tone and tuning can be compromised. Using this humidifier - by simply placing it in water for a few seconds, letting it drain, and placing it in the soundhole, - can help to keep your guitar at a comfortable temperature, whatever the storage conditions. Fender say to use the humidifier when local humidity drops below 35-40 percent.
