Gretsch Laydie Belle Irish Tenor Banjo G9480

Designed for playing traditional music, with a loud and proud Whyte-Laydie tone ring and three-ply solid maple rim, the Gretsch Laydie Belle Irish Tenor Banjo exudes elegance and authenticity. The G9480 Tenor Banjo has a maple body, finished in an amber maple gloss finish, with tortoiseshell body binding, and a Remo High Crown Renaissance head. The neck is made from three-piece maple/walnut/maple, with a vintage soft "U" shape profile, a 19.75" scale length, and 17 frets decorated in abalone dots and diamonds. The Gretsch G9480 also features an ebony-tipped maple bridge, vintage no-knot tailpiece, Vega-style armrest, and geared planetary machine heads. (An Irish tenor banjo is tuned to GDAE [one octave below a mandolin,] and this Laydie Belle is supplied with Irish Tenor strings fitted specially for this tuning. It can also be tuned as a standard tenor [CGDA, or "Chicago tuning."])

Please note this banjo does not come with a bag.
