PJD guitars are handmade in York from the finest, locally sourced tonewoods, top quality electronics and hardware, including Bare Knuckle, Gotoh and Switchcraft.
This stunning PJD Elite Carey features a solid swamp ash body, paired with a maple top, finished in faded black and black pickguard.
The neck is made from roasted maple, with a custom neck profile based on a standard "C" shape. 25.5"scale length,42mm Tusq nut, Indian rosewood fingerboard with a compound radius 10"/12", and 22 stainless steel Jescar frets. The Elite Carey is fitted with Bare Knuckle "True Grit" pickups. Gotoh hardtail bridge. Gotoh vintage style tuners. Switchcraft switch and jack socket and CTS 500K volume and tone pots.
The guitar is supplied with a hard case and PJD certificate of authenticity. Leigh Dovey, the creator of the Elite Carey, says this;
"My take on an age old classic design. Using only the highest quality parts and tone woods to meticulously craft each instrument with the greatest attention to detail, the hand carved neck is supremely comfortable, delivering the feel of a heavily played-in vintage style instrument. The body is lightweight and the contoured heel block as standard, allows for ease of access to the top frets".
