Rickenbacker 4003S Bass Guitar Walnut
Back by popular demand, this iconic, classic Rickenbacker bass is a favourite amongst bassists worldwide, and is famous for its ringing sustain, treble punch and solid underlying bass. The elegantly curved body is made from walnut on this particular model, and finished with a gorgeous matte finish, with no binding. The use of walnut creates a much warmer tone than the standard maple version. The style of this particular bass is noted for being prized by Paul McCartney and Chris Squire, when they got their first 4001S models in 1964. The neck is made from maple, with a 33.25" scale, and smooth maple fingerboard decorated with black dot inlays. The bass is fitted with two single coil pickups, and Schaller Deluxe machine heads. The 4003S also features a unique push/pull on the treble tone pot, to change between "standard" and "vintage" tone. The simple dot inlays and lack of binding set this model apart from the standard 4003.
