Introducing Taylor's brand new innovation - the ground-breaking V-Class Bracing System. Andy Powers has re-imagined the Taylor Guitar, designing a new "sonic engine" which transforms the way the top vibrates to dramatically improve the sound. This new innovation marks a bold departure from X-bracing, producing notes that are louder, longer sustaining, and more in tune with each other. The Taylor 524ce blends Taylor's most versatile body style, with the fundamental focus on Mahogany. Tropical Mahogany, originating from central and South America, displays a great deal of midrange character, and an overall strikingly warm, rich tone. The versatile Grand Auditorium body style features a smooth Venetian cutaway for easier access to the higher frets, along with faux tortoiseshell binding, Ivoroid/faux tortoiseshell rosette, and "Ivoroid Century" fretboard inlay combined together with the dark appearance of Mahogany to create a visually stunning instrument. The neck is also made from Mahogany, with a 25.5" scale length, and a smooth ethically sourced Ebony fingerboard. The 524ce features Taylor's Expression System 2, the revolutionary pickup design delivering the latest in Taylor's innovative research. Taylor have created this pickup system to ensure that guitarists hear the truest tone of their guitar, not just the sound of a pickup. After extensive research, Taylor concluded that placing the transducers behind the saddle, rather than under it, emits a truer sound. This V-Class Bracing guitar also features new black graphite nut and new inner sticker featuring the signature of Master Guitar Designer, Andy Powers.
