Taylor 614ce Electro Acoustic Guitar

This guitar has so many fine details and features which make it truly amazing. Starting with the Maple-specific back bracing profile, which provides the bright, airy Maple wood with more bass tone, and a special seasoning process for the Sitka Spruce top called torrefaction, which involves roasting the Spruce to produce an aged tonal character with more acoustic resonance and responsiveness. The Maple back and sides have a hand-rubbed, stained "Brown Sugar" finish, which gives this Maple's usually pale appearance a darker, richer look, without adding thickness to the finish. Maple is a more sustainable and ethically sourced tonewood, compared to the usual choices for backs and sides, such as Mahogany and Rosewood. However, guitarists tend to prefer these darker woods over the pale appearance of natural Maple. Taylor have solved this problem by reinventing their 600 Series Maple guitars with the Brown Sugar stain. Taylor have also used protein glues on the 614ce to optimise the tonal transfer between the wood components. The Ebony fretboard features "Ivoroid Wings" inlays, as well as the guitar sporting a matching grained ivoroid peghead logo and inlay. The body is finished off with a gorgeous streaky Ebony pickguard. This 600 Series guitar of course features Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, which amplify the true tone of the guitar, not the sound of a pickup. This Taylor 600 Series 614ce is absolutely incredible - extremely comfortable to play, producing exquisite tones, and boasting stunning aesthetics.
