Introducing Taylor's brand new innovation - the ground-breaking V-Class Bracing System. Andy Powers has re-imagined the Taylor Guitar, designing a new "sonic engine" which transforms the way the top vibrates to dramatically improve the sound. This new innovation marks a bold departure from X-bracing, producing notes that are louder, longer sustaining, and more in tune with each other. This beautiful limited edition 614ce boasts an incredible quilted maple finish on the back and sides, paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top. Maple as a tonewood is warm and transparent, and Taylor have recently revoiced their maple to produce greater warmth, complexity, volume, sustain and responsiveness. Along with torrefied Sitka spruce, a versatile tonewood with a broad dynamic range. "Torrefied" means the wood has been roasted to produce an aged look and tone. As a whole guitars sound better the more they age, and torrefaction provides this 614ce with a wonderful "played-in" sound the moment you pick it up.

This guitar features a mahogany neck with a 25.5" scale length, and a smooth ebony fingerboard with ebony sourced responsibly from Taylor's ebony mill in Cameroon. The guitar is also equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics. This breakthrough behind-the-saddle transducer pickup amplifies the true tone of each unique guitar, not just the sound of a pickup. Other premium aesthetic features include ebony binding, a paua abalone rosette trimmed with ebony and ivoroid, and Wings fretboard and peghead inlays in grained ivoroid.
