This guitar was purchased by one of our regular customers and then traded back in as a part exchange. It is in immaculate condition, hardly ever played, never taken out of the house. A clear pickguard has been added, and this is lightly scratched from small amount of play.

In 2017 Mike travelled to the Taylor Guitars factory in El Cajon, California, where he hand selected tonewoods to be used in creating four custom Taylor guitars exclusive to Guitar Galleries.

This beautiful Custom GA features Taylor's Grand Auditorium body shape. This body shape is Taylor's most popular and versatile, lending itself perfectly to many styles of player, including fingerpickers, flatpickers, and strummers. The mahogany neck features a comfortable 25-1/5" scale length, 1-3/4" width, and Standard Carve profile.

This custom guitar features stunning Cocobolo back and sides. Cocobolo is a dense, stiff tropical hardwood from Mexico, and it produces a fairly bright overall tone emphasised by sparkling treble notes. Sonically it resembles Hawaiian koa but resonates a little deeper on the low end. The tone is fast, responsive, and articulate.

This is paired with an Adirondack Spruce top. Adirondack spruce has a “springy” quality. Acoustically, it produces a robust output and more dynamic range than Sitka, which allows it to be driven aggressively for greater volume without distortion. The midrange tones also tend to have a richer, sweeter quality.

This guitar also features a gorgeous Tropical Vine inlay on the ebony fretboard, made from Abalone and Mother of Pearl, Abalone/Paua single-ring soundhole rosette, Adirondack Performance bracing, ebony binding, Gotoh 510 Antique Gold tuners, and of course Taylor's innovative Expression System 2 pickup, a breakthrough behind-the-saddle system which accurately amplifies the true tone of each guitar, letting this custom guitar's unique tone shine through perfectly.
