Rotten guitars are built by a single Luthier with experience in the manufacture of thousands of high end British made electric guitars.
Rotten guitars make a guitar that looks like it's done it's apprenticeship having spent countless hours on stage. With a Rotten guitar you shouldn't be afraid to pick it up. It should be a guitar that inspires you to pick it up, play it and be creative.
But an aged and battered guitar wasn't good enough. A Rotten guitar had to feel as though it had been played on sellout tours for 30 years. So time is spent naturally rolling off the edges making the neck and frets as tactile as possible, handcrafting a bone nut individually and meticulously setting it up so it's the easiest guitar to play.
A Rotten guitar also had to be 100% reliable and sound as good as the best guitars that money can buy. So with a Rotten guitar you get an individually scatter wound pickup or pickups, that are not only hand-made in Yorkshire, but are made in the same way that pickups were made during the pioneering days of electric guitars manufacturing. Along with a reliable loom utilising the best CTS Pots and quality components, Rotten guitars not only look good they sound fantastic.
